On top of the world? - we feel like it!

At 3,500m Poon Hill is at an altitude which is just under half the height of Everest! This was the culmination of 5 days trekking by our fearless explorers in the Annapurnas range in the Himalayas. They trekked through paddy fields, rainforest, desert plateaux ... and climbed more stone steps than they could count. They were rewarded with magnificent views.

Poon Hill - made it!

Day two of the trekking phase in the Annapurnas ... up, up ... and UP!
Magnificent views - will be worth the climb!

View over Kathmandu.

Kian - expedition leader reports ...

Namaste!
We have arrived safe and sound (and tired!) in Kathmandu - everyone in good spirits and very happy!
Drive through Kathmandu - very exciting - as outlook is very different to what most of us were expecting!
Loads of photos taken already ... record is 200 and we've only just arrived at the hotel.
Visit this afternoon to the school where we will be teaching later in the trip - perhaps time to explore and see some more of this amazing city.Read more ... on our LIVE news page on the web
